Hello

I have been teaching and helping people as long as I can remember.  I founded STEPS Educational Enterprises to be able to help empower people and organizations to reach their full potential.  I wanted to be able to use all teaching tools freely, especially a person's native language, in order to help people reach their goals. 

 

When I was a child, I learned English very quickly and I became the interpreter for the whole family.  I had grandparents, aunts, and uncles who needed my help with making themselves understood.  I saw how they struggled due to their lack of English skills, and sometimes they were not treated with respect because people judged them to be less intelligent or capable because of their language. 

 

I wanted to dedicate myself to teaching to help empower people to achieve to their maximum potential.  I started teaching at church, in my neighborhood, and eventually received my bilingual teaching certification.  I then worked as a teacher, trainer, grant program supervisor, dual language coordinator, and adult education director.  After years of working with school districts, community colleges, and regional service centers, I decided to start my own business in 2007.
 

Since then, I have been working with individuals who want to become US citizens and have worked with organizations, non-profits, and churches, providing guidance and training.  I am committed to being a servant leader, with the core values of service and respect at the forefront.  I use my collective experience, bilingual ability, and empathy to teach, explain, and empower in a way that reaches people.  Let me know if there is anything I can do to help YOU or your organization take the steps you need to succeed!
